How to Install Laminate Floors in Gold River
We’re proud to offer professional installation of laminate floors, but we also know that some buyers prefer to take care of installation on their own. If you plan on installing your own laminate flooring in Gold River, you’ll need to choose from one of the four different types of laminate available:
- Glueless laminate floors can be laid directly onto substrate. You must use a thin plastic underlay to prevent moisture from damaging your floors.
- Glued laminate floors are glued together at each tongue and groove before they are laid down and are incredibly difficult to separate once glued together. This is the original type of laminate flooring.
- Laminate floors with attached underlay come with different types of tongue and groove systems. However, they all have an attached underlay that helps create a moisture barrier and reduces noise.
- Pre-glued laminate floors have already been put together but must be cut to fit your room. They should also be laid over a thin plastic underlay to create a moisture barrier.
