Hardwood Floors from Armstrong
Armstrong offers three types of hardwood floors; solid wood flooring, engineered wood floors, and prefinished as opposed to site finished hardwood floors. Armstrong’s solid wood flooring is 100% hardwood milled from lumber. Armstrong hardwood flooring is available in many different types of wood such as hickory, oak, cherry, maple, and more exotic woods like lapacho, tiger wood, and Brazilian cherry. Armstrong also offers hand scraped hardwood floors for a more rustic look, or finely sanded for a more traditional hardwood floor.
Engineered wood flooring from Armstrong is built up in layers of wood, called plies that are then glued together. The plies give engineered wood flooring strength and stability and can also be installed directly to concrete. If you want to finish a basement or bathroom with wood flooring, Armstrong recommends engineered hardwood flooring because the construction of engineered wood flooring reduces shrinking and expanding due to temperature and humidity changes that is associated with traditional hardwood flooring.
All of Armstrong’s hardwood floors are prefinished for an easier installation. No fumes from finishes, no dust from sanding, and the factory applied finish is much stronger and longer lasting than on site finished flooring.
