Durable Laminate Flooring

An aluminum oxide layer that resists scratches, stains, burns and dings is part of what makes laminate flooring so durable. These floors are ideal for busy families with pets and kids and for high-traffic industrial or commercial environments.

Affordable Laminate Flooring Near Union City

Laminate floors are much more affordable than traditional hardwood, tile or stone options. They’re designed to last for years on end with no need for expensive, specialized maintenance. Most homeowners will be able to find laminate floors in Union City well suited to both their decor and budget needs.

Laminate Floors Are Easy to Care For

It’s easy to take care of laminate floors in Union City. Wipe up all wet spots, sweep the area regularly to keep it free of debris and use a wet mop and cleaner designed for laminate to keep your flooring in great condition.

How to Install Laminate Floors in Union City

We’re proud to offer professional installation of laminate floors, but we also know that some buyers prefer to take care of installation on their own. If you plan on installing your own laminate flooring in Union City, you’ll need to choose from one of the four different types of laminate available:

  • Glueless laminate floors can be laid directly onto substrate. You must use a thin plastic underlay to prevent moisture from damaging your floors.
  • Glued laminate floors are glued together at each tongue and groove before they are laid down and are incredibly difficult to separate once glued together. This is the original type of laminate flooring.
  • Laminate floors with attached underlay come with different types of tongue and groove systems. However, they all have an attached underlay that helps create a moisture barrier and reduces noise.
  • Pre-glued laminate floors have already been put together but must be cut to fit your room. They should also be laid over a thin plastic underlay to create a moisture barrier.
